We build on patient insights in researching and developing new, safe and effective medicines to treat skin diseases.
We interact with individual patients and/or patient organizations to improve research, support education, improve access to healthcare, to ensure critical information and optimal treatment options for patients, and to gain advice and insights from patients and patient representatives on disease related questions to develop treatments that reflect the actual needs of the patient.

We are committed to help people achieve healthy skin. That is our mission and we want to play an active role in helping people deal with the skin disease and symptoms. 

At the same time, we are committed to uphold high ethical standards and to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and industry codes on the relationship between the pharmaceutical industry, patients and patient organizations.

 

Moreover, any engagements that Third Parties have with patients and patient organizations in connection with services performed for or on behalf of LEO Pharma must comply with the same ethical standards as engagements undertaken directly by LEO Pharma. The LEO Pharma requirements are outlined in the LEO Pharma Healthcare Compliance Protocol for Third Parties.
 

Our interactions with patient organizations

At LEO Pharma, we acknowledge the important role that patient organizations play in increasing patient understanding about disease and treatment. As a patient-centric company, we share their commitment to patients, and we join them in their efforts to improve patient support and healthcare.

Our engagements and support have a three-fold purpose:

  • LEO Pharma acknowledges the important role that patient organizations play in increasing patient understanding about disease and treatment, as well as increasing hope and support to patients. We support patient organizations in their mission to help patients.
  • LEO Pharma finds the role of patient organizations pivotal in providing knowledge and insight to society on what it is like to live with a disease. We support patients by engaging in disease awareness activities.
  • LEO Pharma acknowledges that patient organizations have valuable insights into the patient needs and concerns. We gain advice and insights from patient organizations on disease related questions to improve research and develop treatments that reflect the actual needs of the patient.
